Phillip Trusttum visit.

Last term, during the final week, we walked down to the library to view the display of work by Philip Trusttum.

Susie from the Art Gallery met us there and explained about the display, after which went moved about the library looking at the display cabinets.

We came back to school and made our own drawings, trying to create them like Philip's work.

Today, Susie brought Philip to school and he talked about his work and showed us some more of his books. We then created our own pictures....

He handed out some finger puppets and some toys and we used these for inspiration......

We used felts just like Philip.

When we finished, Philip gave us all a finger puppet to keep. Thank you Philip for taking the time to come and share with us!

More stories from Room 2

The big bad wolf is afraid of a dinosaur because he can easily eat him up in one piece. And the wolf said, "Oh, man!" Then he ran away for ever and ever and ever. When the wolf was running he was screaming too and he found his house. Then he said, "I won't go out of the house again. And he said, "Phew!" Then he danced for joy.

Why do ducks live near water?

Why ducks live near the water is so they can have a wash in the morning. They put their head under the water to find some weeds. Sometimes they waddle on the road. The cars beep. Then when the mother duck walks the ducklings walk in a line behind her, and it is a good exercise.

Today I had pancakes with golden syrup, baked beans, toasties with cheese and bacon, cheese crackers and sushi for breakfast. Then I watched The Hobbit then the first, second and third Lord of the Rings.
Then I went to my Secret Agent room and got into my invisible helicopter and flew to the dairy. Then I went to the donut shop and brought a donut with red icing on it and red jelly beans on it. Then when I got back into the invisible helicopter it took me to a Spell Chamber. I saw a well and it was the only way out so I said 'Goodbye' to the invisible helicopter and jumped into the well and fell into a Jelly monster which I thought was a swimming pool. There was no one else in the Jelly monster so I ate the Jelly monster up and got out of the well and went home.

Once there was a bee that couldn't fly, so he couldn't fly from flower to flower. I made a wee plane that flies round by itself. Then we went to the park. I took the plane with me. Charlie said, "What's that?"
"It's a plane that can fly round by itself."
"Ooh!" Said Charlie.
So I turned it on and then I attached the bee to it and it worked brilliantly well.
"Ooh! That's a cool thing" Charlie said.

Stories from Room 2

Grandad and Grannies are really just kids at heart. My grandad versus me in soccer and I always beat him. Then he gives me a piggie back and runs to the fence and kicks the soccer balls.
By Ethan.

In Wintertime I like having snowball fights with Benjamin. We put on our jackets and throw the snowballs at our jackets. We start the war and begin to fight. We roll up the snow into a ball then we throw them at one another. My hands get cold even though I have gloves on.
Sometimes me and Benjamin jump on the trampoline even when the snow is on it.. Yana-Marie also jumps on the trampoline.
We make a snowman with mummy. We roll a big ball and we put clothes on the snowman. We put on a scarf, a jacket and a beanie to keep him warm. We use bark for his eyes and mouth, and put a carrot for his nose. We use sticks for his arms and dark bark for buttons. Dad and Mum take photos with the camera and then we go inside. We have hot chocolate to keep us warm.

Why do human animals love chocolate?

Chocolate is sweet and it can be an Easter Egg or a chocolate bar or anything like a chocolate Easter Bunny from a shop. Chocolate has sugar in it. That's why it's tasty and sweet. My mum does not like chocolate because she doesn't like her teeth to get brown. My dad likes chocolate a little bit. I like it so much but not a little bit or a tiny bit.

What famous person would you choose to spend a day with?

I would like to invite a mummy my house that lives in a tomb and it has got a curse on it. Then I would say to it to take the the toilet paper off it. Then I would chuck it in the rubbish bin. Then go home and eat its breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then brush it's teeth because it should have done that before it came to my house. So that would of taught it a lesson. But he came back without doing it.
The End.

If I'm a dog I would run like a cheetah and if someone comes close I would sniff them because then I would know them.
If some guy said, "My son is lost!" Then the police would say, "Give me his t-shirt." Then they would give me his t-shirt. Then I would sniff it and walk and walk until I found him. We went back to the park . We gave the man his kid. Then the Police said,"The job is done."
Then we played in the park. I fell in the mud.

I eat my vegetables first because vegetables make you healthy and corn makes you strong. I like peas at home on the plate and the plate goes on the table. My mum tells me to eat tea that's on the plate.
I like vegetables because they make you healthy and the best is mushroom. I like mushrooms.
