French stories

Room 5 children came to our room to read us the French books that they had written and illustrated.

The stories had been written in English first then translated into French. The Room 2 children enjoyed the pictures and the bright colours that were used. We could work out the story from the pictures.

Writing and Following Instructions

Room 1had written some instructions for making a Windsock. They wanted to try them out on us.

On Friday afternoon we went into Room 1and they showed us what they had written. We then used the instructions to make our own windsocks.

We selected the colored streamers .

We put holes so we could tie the streamers on the bottom.

Then we painted the outside and added the glitter. They look fantastic.

Lisa from the Library

When Lisa comes from the library we get do play all sorts of activities. We did a counting rhyme.

Then we acted out a play about a farmer who complained about having a noisy home. We played the part of his family and his farm animals.

It was fun.

Prayer Time

Mrs O'Connor from the Catholic Education Office visited us. We had some prayer time and some quiet time. She talked to us about Jesus and we listened to some lovely music.

My argument - by Nero

This morning Nero wrote his story on the iPad then copied it into his book. We have been writing arguments and his story read as follows:

We should not go on the grass when it is wet because you might get muddy shoes. You make mud in the classroom.

Massage circle

Alexandra and Jhardel read a story called 'At the End of the Day.' The children in the story made a massage circle at the end of the day, so we thought we would try it.
