More Ice Cubes

Today we created ice cubes made from water, sugar and water, and from cordial. We predicted which one would melt first.....

Then we put the three different cubes on a plate and observed what happened. We took photos at 3 minute intervals.

We found that the cordial cube melted first. The sugar ice cube was melting faster than the water ice cube.

Properties of Water

We read a story about water.

When we took some ice cubes out of the freezer we looked closely at what they looked like

The ice changed into water.

The next day we went outside and placed an ice cube in the sun and timed how long it took to melt. It took almost 20 minutes. There was a difference between those in the sun and in the shade.

All that was left was a puddle.....

What then....?
